TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We are a small company and not able to pay expensive contributions to national or international branch organizations. So we work with our own "Terms and Conditions" which minimize financial risks for our guests. We also do payments to third parties (hotels and so on) as late as possible so when a journey is cancelled we will be able to pay back the greatest part of the money to our clients. Normally you have to take the necessary measures to protect yourself against financial risks by effecting a health- and cancellation insurance.
After having agreed with a client concerning the travel date, length of the journey, program, amount and means of payment, all appointments are written in a Tour-Agreement which must be signed by both parties.
BOOKINGS AND TERMS OF PAYMENT
Tour-bookings will be valid consequent to Awra Amba Tours confirmation of the booking by fax, email or letter. Contracts and Tour-Agreements will only be valid after being signed by both parties.
Immediately after signing the Tour-Agreement, 60% of the total Tour price has to be paid. The remaining payment as written in the Contract or Tour-Agreement can be paid before the commencement of the tour on arrival date. If at that time complete payment has not been received, Awra Amba Tours is not indebted to conduct the Tour. Exchange of money is possible on Bole Airport by the Commercial Bank or Dashen Bank in the luggage hall with 24 hrs Service.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations of confirmed bookings by client (s) due to personal circumstances after signing the Agreement up to 35 days prior to departure are subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the total Tour Price. Plus advance payments which are already done by Awra Amba Tours (such as for domestic Flights, hotels and vehicle) and which will not be refunded by this third parties. If after commencement of the Tour, the Tour has to be stopped in an early stage because of personal circumstances of the client, Awra Amba Tours cannot guarantee any refund but will do its best to refund expenses which are not yet paid. If one or more clients cancel a Tour and the remaining clients want to let the Tour continue, the Price will be adapted for the remaining clients and those who have cancelled will pay the above written Cancellation fee. If remaining clients don't agree with the new Tour Price, Awra Amba Tours is not Indebted to conduct the Tour.
CANCELLATIONS DONE BY THE CLIENTS OR BY Awra Amba Tours IN CASE OF NATURAL CALAMITIES, POLITICAL UNREST OR WAR: the same conditions as mentioned above.
We strongly recommend our clients to effect cancellation insurance.
GUARANTEE
If Awra Amba Tours has to cancel a Tour, due to personal or financial circumstances we will Offer the client to let the Tour be executed by another recommended Ethiopian Travel Agent.
If the client doesn't agree with our proposal, we guarantee the following refund: After signing the Contract or Agreement up to 25 days prior to departure: 100% refund. Minus advance payments which are already done and which will not be refunded by third parties.
RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY
The staff of Awra Amba Tours will conduct every Tour as agreed with every individual client to the best of their ability.
However, Awra Amba Tour cannot be held responsible for cancellations in case of unrest, war or natural calamities and over-bookings made by third parties such as hotels, airlines, transport companies or other Travel agencies. Although we only make use of safe and well insured cars and other materials and every possible care is taken to safeguard our clients and their properties, Awra Amba Tour cannot be held responsibility for any loss or harm of personal goods, consequences of sickness, accidents or calamities. All extra costs resulting from above mentioned situations are for the client's own account.
Awra Amba Tour will use its best efforts to assist as an agent for our clients in dealing with third parties and in cases of need such as theft, sickness, injuries or other calamities.
All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the court of Ethiopia.
Our clients are obliged to travel with a good travel- and health insurance.
PRICES
Tour prices can be provided upon request. Prices are not fixed but depend on infrastructure, season, hotel-, salary- and fuel prices and currency exchange rates. Awra Amba Tour has the right to adapt an earlier given price up to 35 days before commencement of the Tour. After payment of the total Tour price by the client(s), no adaptations will be made.
